Ginger will do an interactive demo, and share a glimpse of behind the scenes of her process, how she became a fabric designer and where her inspiration comes from. Bring your questions and curiosity!
In the Fabric Art demo Ginger will share one of her favourite “ways in” for loosening up and getting your creative juices flowing. It’s also a great way to use up fabric scraps! You will have a small creative project to take away with you at the end. All supplies included.

About Ginger: Ginger Deverell loves wonder and wildness and all things delicate and pretty. She is a surface designer and illustrator known for her ethereal and whimsical style and her soft, dreamy colour palettes—recently featured in Uppercase and In Her Studio magazines. Her art has been licensed for stationery, gifts, fabric and décor in Europe, Canada and USA, and she also enjoys freelance projects and commissions. For Ginger, inspiration comes from flora and fauna, vintage and bohemian aesthetics, Eastern cultures and childlike wonder. She works from her bright attic studio in her early 1900s home on the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada, surrounded by fabric swatches and paper products, ornate treasures and bits of nature. Beyond her studio, Ginger adores travelling abroad, sewing with her mom’s 1940s Piedmont, and reading and cooking with her son. There is free parking on the street (longer on side streets) and in our covered lot at the back of the building (enter on Spring Street). Moody Centre skytrain station is about 8 minutes walk away, and the 160 and 180 buses take you up to St Johns Street from the station if you want to get closer.
