About this event

Forest Bathing, also known as “Shinrin-Yoku,” refers to the practice of spending time in Nature for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness. Forest Bathing is spending time in nature in a way that invites healing interactions. It’s not just about healing people; it includes healing for the forest, river, or desert - whatever environment you are in.

This Dia des los Muertos, let's find solace, strength, and connection beneath the sheltering canopy of the forest. Day of the Dead celebrates the belief that the spirits of the deceased return to the world of the living during this time. It is a joyful and colorful occasion that embraces death as a natural part of the human experience, rather than a somber or fearful event.

As an End of Life Educator and Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, I invite you to honor your loved ones who have passed on by immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the forest.

Together, we will weave a tapestry of memories and gratitude, to bridge the gap between the living and the departed, and the human and non human world. Our Forest Bathing experience on this day is more than just a walk in the woods. It's a heartfelt celebration of life's cycles and a tribute to those who have shaped our journey. Through guided sensory invitations we will attune ourselves to the rhythms of nature and the stories that live within us.

These guided walks have one sole aim - creating and sustaining safe, meaningful, and relational contact between participants and nature. I am not a therapist.

These guided walks have one sole aim - creating and sustaining safe, meaningful, and relational contact between participants and nature. I am simply a guide to facilitate your experience in Nature. Through a series of 'invitations' I offer, I will help awaken your senses to deepen your connection with yourself, with nature, and with others. At the end of each invitation we'll gather to share our impressions.
