Join team members and supporters, past and present, in an intergenerational celebration of LGBT YouthLine & Open Closet's 30 year anniversaries, and a reflection on 2SLGBTQ+ peer support services. There will be a Q&A after the panel discussion as well as time for mingling.

Time: doors open 6:30pm, panel and Q&A from 7pm to 8:30pm

Venue: London Central Library (C.E. Lawson Room), 251 Dundas Street, London, Ontario

Ticket types:

Tickets are by pay-what-you-can donation, including a free-option. We recognize that many 2SLGBTQ+ people of all ages are working-class and low-income, and encourage you to give according to your means, or to take the free option if you need it. You can also select a combo of tickets.

Donations for tickets will be split between LGBT YouthLine and Open Closet, our organizing partners for this panel.

Virtual tickets are free. Attendees will be emailed a livestream link 24 hours before the event.

ACCESSIBILITY:

COVID safety: Masking is strongly recommended, and we will have both KN95 and regular surgical masks for you to use. We will have hand sanitizer available. If you have ordered a ticket and get sick prior to the event, please keep yourself and others safe by staying home.

Light Food & Refreshments will be provided.

For Deaf and HoH guests: ASL interpreters will be present. The livestream will be live-subtitled.

Wheelchair accessibility: The building and room are wheelchair-accessible.

Washrooms: Washrooms are on the same floor as the event room. They are gendered, with a wheelchair-accessible stall in each one. There is also a wheelchair-accessible "family washroom" on the same floor.

Sensory environment: Fluorescent lights are not dimmable. Washrooms do not contain scented products. The room does not have an echo.

The Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line is a Queer, Trans, Two-Spirit* youth-led organization that affirms and supports the experiences of youth (29 and under) across Ontario. We do this by:

  • Providing anonymous peer support and referrals;
  • Training youth to provide support to other youth; and
  • Providing resources so youth can make informed decisions.
