City Design Camp: Map It. Build It. Light It Up!

For Ages 6–11 | Hands-On Fun Meets Big Imagination

At City Design Camp, kids become city planners, builders, and inventors in a week packed with creativity, movement, and hands-on exploration!

Your child will:
🔹 Create their own mini city—complete with roads, parks, buildings, and bridges using craft supplies and upcycled materials
🔹 Explore simple circuits to add light, motion, and even sound to their designs
🔹 Learn basic mapping skills through fun games and treasure hunts that build spatial awareness and direction-following
🔹 Play teamwork challenges that promote collaboration, problem-solving, and lots of laughs
🔹 Take part in imaginative role-play—what does a city need? Who lives there? What makes a community thrive?

Each day blends STEAM learning with storytelling and play. Whether they’re drawing blueprints, decoding treasure maps, or lighting up their skyscraper with a circuit, your child will be learning while having a blast.

We focus on building confidence, creativity, and connection—all while helping kids see the world around them in new and exciting ways.

Frequently asked questions

What time is camp?

Camp will run from 9-3:30 with drop off from 8:30 and pickup until 4:00. Early drop off avaialble.

What will my child need to bring?

Every child will need a water bottle, snacks and a lunch. As we hope to spend some time outside they will need a hat and sunscreen. We will be building and crafting all day, so kids are encouraged to bring a shirt they can change into and don't mind getting messy.

If we can't make it is there a refund?

We know how busy life can get. Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the start of camp with a $25 fee per child.

What experience do the instructors have?

Qualified teachers and camp counsellors. With over 20 years experience in education from ages 4-16, Drop Thought Kids have been run internationally in the UK, China and Canada.
