With your help, Durham College (DC) has now completed the first two phases of the process to develop our next Strategic Plan. We are thrilled with the high amount of engagement from across the college and community to date.
Based on the input provided during our consultation phase, several themes for the college’s strategic direction emerged. Now, we will move from gathering your ideas to co-creating visionary priorities for the future.
In January, we will host a series of visioning sessions where we will explore the key questions that will shape DC’s strategic direction. Each visioning session is focused on a specific emergent theme, bringing together diverse participants with the goal of envisioning DC’s highest priorities and goals.
These in-person sessions are open to everyone and will focus on dynamic dialogue between participants. We invite you to attend one or all of the theme sessions that interest you – your voice is very important to the process.
Topic: Stepping Fully into Our Role as Durham’s College
Date and Time: January 13th from 1:30-4:30pm
Location: Durham College, Whitby Campus, Bistro 67
What could we be doing to step even more fully into our role as Durham’s College - building our profile, partnering more deeply with our community and creating opportunities for students across the region and beyond?
Throughout our consultations we heard how connected Durham College (DC) is to the region. Over 50% of our domestic students come from the region, and international students who choose DC often live and develop careers in our communities. And in many cases our students return to DC as staff and faculty. The college is deeply rooted and valued across the region as a key employer, community partner and focal point.
As we look to the future, we know we have a role to play in supporting our region and the people within it to thrive. Join us for our first visioning session where we will explore all the ways we can step more fully into our role as Durham’s College and be even more integral to the development of our communities and the people who come to live and work here.
