About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Are you a between 13 -18 years old, female-identifying, two-spirit, or gender-diverse youth passionate about climate action?

Join us for a fun and creative "Make and Take" workshop where you'll design unique recyled jewelry and up-cycled fabric renewal — all while fighting fast fashion!

During this workshop you will learn how to make eco-friendly earrings from recycled materials like pop cans, and discover slow stitching to repurpose scrap fabric into new items like earrings, brooches, or cleaning cloths.

We’ll also have a clothing swap!

Please bring 2-3 pieces of gently used clothes to trade with others to refresh your wardrobe without creating more waste. It's the perfect way to give your old clothes new life and reduce your environmental impact.

Two "Make and Take" activities for the evening include:

  • Recycled Jewelry Making — Turn recycled items and other materials into stylish accessories.
  • Fabric Renewal with Slow Stitching — Repurpose fabric scraps into creative new designs.

Let’s rethink fashion, reduce waste, and get creative together!

Please register through Eventbrite to join us.

Dinner will be provided at no cost.
