Empowerment Squared is thrilled to host our 2025 Annual Celebration, celebrating our collective achievements and honouring this year’s recipients of scholarships and bursaries. This event will bring together over 350 distinguished guests, including community members, business leaders, philanthropists, policymakers, and government partners from across Canada, Liberia, and beyond.


This year’s theme, "Learning Wonderland," inspires imagination and discovery and exemplifies the limitless possibilities brought about by the transformative power of education and diverse ways of learning and knowledge.

  • Special Announcement: Transformation Fund – a visionary initiative dedicated to shaping the future of education and leadership for marginalized youth through increased access to postsecondary education.


  • Milestone Celebration: Liberian Learning Center – completion of Phase I of Liberia’s first ever comprehensive learning center, public library and co-working hub.


  • System Level Innovation: International Youth Internship Program – empowering Canadian youth through international development experience for long term career success while impacting local communities abroad.


  • Partnerships Announcement: System Innovation Partnerships – fostering cross sector partnerships for system level transformation and strengthening of the education ecosystem.

Empowerment Squared is building a world where everyone is empowered with the tools and skills to thrive and contribute to society. We do this by empowering newcomer, racialized and marginalized youth, families and communities in Canada and across the world to succeed through mentorship, access to post-secondary education, information literacy, sports and recreation, and skills development and entrepreneurship. In 2023, Empowerment Squared is celebrating 15 years of developing young leaders and building better communities, including assisting over 3000 newcomer youth and families with settling in Canada and giving back to their community, and building the transformational Liberian Learning Center in Paynesville, Liberia.
