About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This event is facilitated by EOL Doula, Thanatologist & Death Educator Elizabeth Matos with participants that are EOL or Death Doulas and those seeking to possibly enter the field of End of Life care & support as an EOL Doula. We will cover a wide range of topics of interest in these monthly meetings. It is a safe zone to speak our truths and support one another while providing insights and ideas for our profession.

I am passionate about good End of Life care. As a Thanatologist, EOL Doula, Life and Death Coach, Educator and Facilitator of workshops, courses, and Death Cafes my goal is to change narratives around death and dying. I am an advocate for EOL Doulas in their quest for recognition as vital resources in palliative care. Since March 2024, I have helped over 200 people create comprehensive End of Life Plans through my webinar and in person workshops, Your Final Journey and You. Having been a caregiver and working with caregivers, I also run a webinar and workshop on Caring for the Caregiver. I am a key note speaker and am currently working on a book as well as creating additional courses relevant to End of LIfe. I am also a grief therapist and aid others in their grief journey both in groups and individually. I am so very honoured to work in this field. I have created Death over Dessert as a light-hearted approach to a very heavy topic. Do join me and others to learn of their takes on death, bereavement and living life fully.
