About this event

Photography, Camera

This purchase is for a one-year club membership to the Etobicoke Camera Club (ECC). Included in your membership are all club activities including presentations by expert international image makers (see detailed list below), Outings, our Digital Diner (an informal online challenge), post processing seminars, the Viewfinder (our club newsletter), and of course, fun social events where members can connect and socialize both in-person or over zoom.

N OTE: When purchasing a membership through Eventbrite the ticket procedure requires you to select an event date. Because this is a yearly membership, the date selected doesn't matter. Then, go to https://www.etobicokecameraclub.org/application to complete your membership application on ECC's website. Our Membership Director will then be notified and will contact you. Purchasing your membership through Eventbrite is most suitable for purchasers located outside of Canada. For those residing within Canada it is better to register through our club website and avoid the Eventbrite fees, Etobicoke Camera Club.

ECC's club season starts in September and concludes in early May with weekly meetings on Monday nights. Although ECC does take a summer break, we do have occasional ad hoc events throughout the summer so don't delay, join anytime.

ECC provides a welcoming atmosphere for photographers of all abilities. Whether you just purchased your first camera or have been shooting for many years, ECC offers something for everyone.

To start our season ECC will feature renowned photographer Brooks Jensen. Brooks Jensen is a fine-art photographer, publisher, workshop teacher, and writer. He and his late wife (Maureen Gallagher) are the owners, co-founders, editors, and publishers of the award winning LensWork, one of today’s most respected and important periodicals in fine art photography. With subscribers in 72 countries, Brooks’ impact on fine art photography is truly world-wide. His long-running podcast on photography and the creative process is heard over the Internet by thousands every day. LensWork is currently in its 31st year of publication.

Brooks Jensen will speak to the Etobicoke Camera Club over Zoom, on Monday September 9, 2024 at 7:00 EDT.

Individual tickets for Brook's presentation, plus 11 more 2-hour Zoom presentations by photography experts, are also available for purchase separately on Eventbrite at $15.00 each plus Eventbrite fees. Purchasing a club membership offers the best value plus a savings of more than $100 over purchasing individual guest tickets and fees.

Our friendly group of over 100 photo enthusiasts meets regularly both in-person and on Zoom. Most guest presentations will take place over Zoom, while competitions, Salons, social and other events will be held in-person at Humber Valley United Church and recorded for viewing by members both near and far. The hybrid Zoom and in-person model that ECC is embarking on also enables members to easily connect and participate from near and far.

As we collaborate with like-minded photographers in a cordial atmosphere, we warmly welcome new members of all abilities. Won’t you consider joining us? Come and take advantage of the tremendous savings and benefits a club membership offers?
