Dr. Frost joined the Alberta Neurologic Centre in 2023 as a physiatrist. Geoff was drawn to physiatry as it was the perfect match of his interests and experience in both engineering and medicine. As a physiatrist, he focuses on the intricacies of nerve and muscle problems. As an engineer, his interest includes helping children with spinal muscular atrophy enjoy to physical play.
Geoff completed a Master of Health Sciences, Clinic Engineering, at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario in 2012, followed by a Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 2016. From 2016 to 2021 he was a resident physician, physical medicine and rehabilitation at Vancouver Coastal Health in Vancouver, British Columbia, and director of communication for Resident Doctors of British Columbia from 2017-2019. In 2020, Geoff co-founded The Financial Pulse, a financial literacy education program for resident doctors in British Columbia. From 2021 to 2023, he was a Neuromuscular Medicine Fellow at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta.
Dr. Geoff Frost is also the CEO of Raft Digital Therapeutics, a company that uses interactive gaming to make at-home physiotherapy programs more affordable, accessible, and fun.
When not at work, Geoff loves a good board game, playing hockey, going for hikes, and skiing in the mountains.
