Join the GSA’s EDIA committee for an immersive workshop based on Indigenous teaching methodologies: The Blanket Exercise. Facilitated by two local Indigenous representatives and an Elder, this interactive session explores pre-contact Indigenous history, treaty-making, colonization, and resistance. Engage in meaningful dialogue, build empathy, and gain a deeper understanding of our shared history as we strive towards reconciliation. Light snacks will be provided. Note that the space will be smudged, and the workshop will involve oral storytelling traditions.
