This conference is for Justice Professionals who want to better understand and respond to those living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, be they accused persons, witnesses or victims of crime. An FASD-informed practice helps justice professionals understand the many daily social and systemic challenges faced by those with complex needs. Learn about the neuroscience of FASD, and the links between FASD and involvement in the criminal justice system. Better understand the importance of FASD screening, assessment and diagnosis, and acquire tools to improve outcomes for affected individuals and the community. Hear about existing programs and supports, and take part in a discussion about innovative approaches to service delivery to people with complex needs. This is a collaboration between Willow Winds Support Network and The Justice Steering Committee.
