About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 45 minutes

Gallery 44 invites you to join us on Field Trip 44: Fantasy Fair, an interactive site visit and artist talk by Hannah Doucet, in conversation with Phililp Leonard Ocampo. Join us as we visit the legendary Fantasy Fair, built in 1985 - it remains Ontario's largest indoor amusement park. Located inside of Woodbine Mall this field trip gives you the opportunity to visit an important cultural landmark and explore Doucet's practice through a probe into the artifice, amusement parks, escapism and constructed fantasy.

Your ticket includes a bus ride to and from Woodbine Mall and admission to Hannah and Philip's conversation which will happen in a party room on site. The party room is sadly up a flight of stairs and not-accessible. Food is not provided but we invite you to check out the Woodbine Mall food court. If you have any accomodations please let us know in advance.
