We’re celebrating five years of the Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP) on Saturday October 5th at 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled morning in Fred Kline Park!

Roll up your sleeves for some hands-on invasive species removal and immerse yourself in nature with a guided walk to learn how to identify local trees and birds. Don’t miss the chance to meet Wild Ontario’s birds of prey up close! Explore interactive booths hosted by local community organizations, including Reconnect Brampton, Community Climate Council, City of Brampton, Peel Region, Centre for Energy Transformation and Brampton Environmental Alliance! Enjoy free halal hot dogs generously provided by Maple Lodge Farms and indulge in cake and other refreshments as we mark this milestone.

This event is part of Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).

What to Wear:

· This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.

What to Bring:

· Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).

· Sunscreen and bug spray.

· This is a free event

· This is a family friendly event. Content will be adapted for all ages.

· Stay home if you are feeling sick.

· Registration is recommended. Register for this event by October 4th at noon.

· Washroom amenities will be available.

· Light refreshments will be served. Please bring your own reusable container to help us reduce waste and take snacks home with you.

· Accessibility: The walk will take place on paved pathways and sidewalks. Some surfaces may be uneven and grassy.

· Youth aged 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event.

· Participants under 18 please bring a signed copy of our event waiver.
