RoadMap is a First Nations-led initiative with optional pathways to support Nations in achieving their economic and self-government goals. Your voice is an important and valued part of shaping the RoadMap proposals and we encourage you to attend a RoadMap workshop to share your insights and ideas.
The FMB invites First Nation representatives to attend the RoadMap Roadshow and participate in the conversation at a day workshop. Up to six registrants from each Nation, chief and council or executive staff, are invited to participate in this day's workshop. We also reimburse our guests up to $1,000 in travel and accommodation costs post-event.
The RoadMap Project is a practical and implementable pathway to Indigenous economic reconciliation, consistent with the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Informed by discussions with First Nations across Canada, RoadMap aims to offer realistic and impactful options to empower First Nations governments in moving past the colonial system's failed one-size-fits-all approach.
