Dog-Eared Cafe:

Dog-Eared Café has been conceived of in the tradition of European cafe models of old to provide an atmosphere in which art, music, literature, and conversation are paramount. We’re a comfortable couch and a good book; a warm, carefully crafted coffee drink sipped slow to wash down a rich treat savoured.

We’re good music and honest conversations, evenings spent with your community, a craft beer or local wine shared with laughter in your ears, the world’s demands left at the door.

Andrew Bentham-Riley:

Andrew Bentham-Riley offers an authentic singer-songwriter experience, weaving deeply personal and anecdotal lyrics into his music. His songs explore his own life, tales from the road, and themes of love, loss, and personal growth, creating a compelling narrative. Andrew complements these stories with skillfully crafted and dynamic guitar arrangements, delivering performances that resonate with heartfelt emotion and artistry.

When not performing Andrew can be found inspiring students in classrooms for The Hamilton Music Collective in addition to working with his private students throughout Hamilton. Andrew also facilitates weekly Interactive Music Groups with multiple Hamilton and Brantford Adult Day Programs.

Through various projects Andrew has been performing in and around the GTA since he was 16-years-old performing in larger bands, his newly formed trio, and his solo acoustic/electric act. Andrew has found better days through his performances at venues across Southern Ontario including The Casbah, The Dakota Tavern, Cameron House, and The Winona Peach Festival.

Emma Whale:

Described as “90’s inspired dream grunge,” Emma Whale captivates audiences with her songwriting. While her lyrics reflect her life, she’ll morph her sound to match her mood, resulting in a unique experience for every release.Emma became a multi-instrumentalist at a young age, starting with singing, then picking up piano and guitar not long afterwards. After high school, she earned her Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Western University, and her Music Industry Arts diploma from Fanshawe College. Emma currently works as an engineer and producer at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton.Emma has been performing throughout the GTA for years, including appearances at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, Sneaky Dee’s, The Casbah, and the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.
