Food concession stands, Free Water Tanks (to refill your water bottles), Washrooms, ATM Machines, Breastfeeding Tent , Information and Lost & Found Tent, First Aid, Mobile Phone Charging Station
Bring sunscreen, something to cover yourself from the sun or if it cools down, a water bottle, buy your drink tickets early in the day to avoid lineups, a swimsuit- there are no lifeguards so swim at your own risk, bug spray.
Camping is not available at the FOTR site. Fred Henne Park is the closest campground, a short drive down Highway 3 will get you to our site. You can book a reservation at NWT Campgrounds: https://www.nwtparks.ca/campgrounds
Bus! Buses will run throughout the festival, stopping at multiple locations in Yellowknife. Bike! Bikes can be locked by the main gate in the car park. Taxi ! Taxi drop off at the main gate. Car! Parking is limited on-site. Please do not drink and drive.
We love dogs, but for the safety of our furry friends and our guests, FOTR does not allow pets on site.
No outside alcohol - bags will be checked!Over 19's only in the Beer Garden. EVERYONE must bring their ID. No illegal drugs or weapons. You must wear your wristband at all times.No littering. Safe Space Policies are in full effect at all times. Recycle and compost accordingly.
The merchandise booth will close one half hour after the last set begins each day but get your merch early as we often sell out! Merch Booth opens at Noon each day and closes half an hour into the last set.
Warm The Rocks at Somba K'e Civic Plaza will happen in the afternoon on Friday, July 18, 2025. There will be free live performances in the park. Warm The Rocks at Long Lake will happen in the evening at the FOTR Festival Grounds. Must 19+ to attend Long Lake.
Gates open on site at noon on Saturday and Sunday. The 2025 schedule will be available on the FOTR2025 app, so check back later!

When you purchase your ticket to Folk On The Rocks that money goes directly towards the costs to run the festival. Those costs include site repairs and improvements, artist fees and travel, food and supplies for our volunteers, sounds and technical costs, and community outreach programs.
Yes! Folk On The Rocks has several tanks of clean potable water available across the FOTR site. These tanks have easy to use taps for filling your water bottle. We encourage all Festival attendees to bring their own reusable bottle and stay hydrated!
Basically no illegal drugs, outside alcohol or weapons. It’s totally fine to bring your own snacks if you prefer (our front gate team will check your bags upon entry). Feel free to bring blankets to sit on too.
Yes! FOTR is a family-friendly festival. We have a children's stage and children 12 and under get in free.
Can be retrieved at the Lost & Found during the festival and will remain in the FOTR Office for two weeks following the festival. After two weeks all found items will be donated.
Yes! But please keep your wristband on. Without your wristband, you will not be able to re-enter.
