Come take part in a gentle, meditative Forest Bathing walk with Tamiko on October 24 an November 7, or an invigorating beach walk November 14 in Jericho Park.
Tamiko is a long time resident of Vancouver and loves to share the history of the beaches and parks on the West side. She is currently studying to be a Nature Therapy Guide and will incorporate some parts of Forest Bathing into her walks.
The trails will be chosen depending on the weather. To get the most out of the forest bathing experience, you must dress warmly and expect to do some sitting or standing still in the outdoors. This means wear a rain jacket and pants (even if it is not raining), hat, gloves, warm boots, long johns and warm layers (wool sweaters or fleece). If we decide to skip the forest bathing and do a beach walk, you will still need to dress appropriately for the weather.
- The walk is accessible by bus #042 and #044
- There is free parking on 4th Avenue.
Please email to tamiko.l.suzuki@gmail.com to say which date(s) you want to attend. You will then receive instructions a few days before the walk on where to meet in Jericho park.
