About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

The Art Gallery of Mississauga welcomes you to the opening reception of the Fourth Annual Juried Show of Visual Arts!

This year, we were delighted to receive 300 submissions from emerging and established artists across Ontario. Atanas Bozdarov, Hibah Mian, and Sarah Quinton deliberated carefully to select 36 pieces for this year's exhibition, based purely on the images and anonymous artist statements provided, to determine the final selection. Their choices particularly reflect the broad range of subject matter, techniques, and approaches that came forward in this Ontario-wide open call.

This exhibition includes sculpture, textiles, photography, drawing, painting, and interactive, digital, and multi-media works.

Featuring works by: Kulwant Singh Bhullar, Nadiyah Brown, Monique Campbell, Omar Canales-Cisneros, Danielle Cole, Jennifer Cole, Raha Fard, Michèle Guevara, Anran Guo, Samantha Gurrey, HAUI, Gustavo Jabbaz, Wesley Jackson, Gayle Kells, Mina Keykhaei, Wen Li, Xiaoyin (Anna) Luo, Ryan Macpherson, Carmen Mahave, Ava Margueritte, Jessica Mitchell, Hafsa Murtaza, Mahnaz Nezarati, King-David Olajuwon, Jeannie Pappas, Omar Preza, RZLBD, Colleen Schindler, Bonnie Sheckter, Sumaira Tazeen, Dinesh Subramanian, Jonathan Tang, Anita Van Zeumeren, Jocelyn Williams, Jasmine Yiweza, and Zoey Zoric

We welcome you to celebrate these artists at our opening reception.
