Do you long to initiate or deepen your relationship with your writing practice?
Are you feeling blocked, frustrated or unfulfilled with your writing?
Are you welcoming healing into your life, whether this is trauma-related or in response to anxiety or depression.?
Do you crave the inspiration, validation and accountability that a group of warm and creative women can provide?
Join an intimate circle of women for a journey of writing and empowerment!
This is a 90-minute Free Intro to the in-person series. It will be held at The Post, at 750 Hamilton Street, Vancouver, BC
In the Free Intro, I describe six core challenges faced by women writers + share my six tools to support writers to grow, maintain flow and break through blocks. I offer examples of how women writers flourish in these high octane, uber-supportive circles where we deep-dive into the writing process.
I offer two writing prompts designed to support your inner-work and deepen your relationship with your writing, two writing periods and two optional share circles (not critiques).
The Intro concludes with a description of the series, sample prompts from the series — which you may try at home — and a Q + A.
This Intro will be held at a Vancouver venue TBA.
The full workshop series
The full workshop series will be held on six Wednesdays, January 22 - February 26, 2024, from 1- 3 p.m. PST, at a venue near Vancouver's City Hall. Workshops are capped at 9 women to maintain intimacy.
Each 2-hour workshop includes a guided visualization/meditation; support circle; and inspiring writing prompts designed to connect us to our stories and our wild and unique wisdom. Optional sharing of writing in a supportive context. Own your writing voice! No writing experience required.
As a celebration of their work in the program, the final workshop is a facilitated group reading, support circle and closing, where women may present a sample of the writing they did during the series.
For these workshops, Marn Norwich fuses decades of experience as a writing workshop facilitator/professional writer and intuitive energy therapist.
- Deepen your relationship with your writing practice, and grow your distinct voice
- Break through long-standing writing blocks that have inhibited your comfort in writing and sharing your writing
- Experience deep and powerful support from the group while going through rough times/working through trauma

"After working with Marn for a year now, I can safely say that this is a special offering, and Marn is a special person. I found Marn while I was in a deep healing process, and not only did the sessions help me process what I was going through, but they also gave me the most beautiful community of sisters while developing my writing practice. Through Marn, I came to find myself again as a writer and poet. She facilitates such a great space, creates excellent themes and prompts and sees the light in everyone. I came out feeling more myself and deeply connected. If you're thinking about working with her, take this as a sign that you must!”

“Marn's writing workshops are a healing offering that is rare to find. Each week, I felt myself open and ease into processing different layers of what was moving through my body, mind, and spirit. Her facilitation is graceful and intuitive, filled with love, powerful insights, and ways of seeing deep into you that feel nurturing and give you permission to finally see yourself with the same bright eyes. The women she attracts are truly just as caring, talented, and genuine as Marn, which created a safe, nourishing, and enjoyable space amongst us even when we were exploring heavier material. There's so much I could say about this workshop and Marn but it's a sliver of the full embodiment of the gorgeous, uplifting, and unique journey that I experienced.”

“Something truly magical transpires through Marn's facilitation. She leads by example, responding thoughtfully to each contribution, holding space, and validating where we are in our healing journey. Her intuitive, attentive approach creates a nearly palpable sense of safety and connection in the room, transforming strangers into a circle of trust, support, and inspiration...Attending her workshops is easily one of the best things I've ever done for my well-being, for my love of writing, and for my sense of wonder and appreciation for women.”
