No... The event is geared to industry professionals and indie studio owners. Game dev students will also find value in the topics discussed and can make valuable connections in the industry. Individuals who are curious about the behind the scenes of the gaming industry might enjoy it.

Is the event free?

Yes... the event is free. However you will need to pay for your own dinner and drinks (if you want them). We like you but this is a business meetup not a date.

Can I come to the event and be a jerk?

NO... Game Dev Drinks Hamilton & Niagara is a fun, welcoming hybrid professional development and social activity. All people are welcome. If you are a jerk and make others feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. You will be asked to leave and not come back.

Do I have to drink?

Coffee, Tea, water, pop, juice all of these are drinks and you will not be judged for choosing any drink that you choose. There is no requirement or expectation that you drink alcohol at Game Dev Drinks Hamilton & Niagara.
