GRIBOI - 2025: Thursday April 10 - Saturday April 12, 2025

Groupe de Recherche Interdisciplinaire sur les Biomatériaux Ostéoarticulaires Injectables (GRIBOI) unites fundamental researchers and clinicians in the rapidly evolving field of biomaterials.

We invite you to participate in the upcoming 2025 GRIBOI Annual Symposium, to be held from April 10th to 13th in Banff, Alberta, Canada, at the stunning Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Our symposium will gather the brightest minds and the latest innovations in biomaterials, image-guided interventions, and therapeutic applications, as we continue to advance the mission of GRIBOI in enhancing interventional radiology, interventional pain management and minimally invasive surgery.

From seasoned professionals to emerging leaders, attendees will experience a robust lineup of didactic sessions, interactive workshops, and insightful discussions around the latest developments in biomaterial sciences and radiology applications.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Become a member and purchase a reduced ticket to attend as well as enjoying benefits of membership in the coming year. All registration fees are in USD.

SPONSORED EVENT CONSENT

By registering for this event, you are consenting to email and printed material regarding sponsored events that may include breakfasts, lunches and dinners. These are non-accredited events that are separate from the overarching program and will be clearly listed as such. Your participation in sponsored events is purely optional.

Those who attend sponsored events can expect meals as outlined in the agenda. Those who do not choose to attend these sponsored events can access nearby dining options at their own cost.

COVID STATEMENT

As part of our commitment to creating the safest possible environment for our in-person event, we strongly recommend that all attendees monitor their health for any potential symptoms. Please feel free to bring your own mask and rapid testing kits.

If you need to cancel at the last minute due to illness or start to feel unwell during the event, please advise us at info@griboi.com. GRIBOI is not responsible for any non refundable registration fees, airline and/or hotel cancellation policies or related charges.

VIDEO AND PHOTO CONSENT

By registering, you are consenting to photos and video being taken of you during our event. Photos and video may also be taken by attendees and third parties. These photos and videos may be posted on our website and social media.

Frequently asked questions

What does my registration include and does my ticket include taxes and fees?

Registration fees for this event are in USD. Your registration includes all educational sessions and food/beverage during conference hours, the Welcome Reception Thursday, and our celebratory dinner on Saturday evening, . Tickets do not include processing and credit card fees.

Are one-day tickets available?

Unfortunately, we are not offering one day tickets.

How do I book accommodation at the conference venue?

Please note: any cancellations after March 11, 2025 are non refundable. Visit our website to access our low conference rates prior to March 11, 2025. Room rates are in CAD and can be extended 3 days before and after our event based on availability. Rooms are limited → so please do not delay!!

Where can I find more information about the venue? Do you have flight and shuttle discounts?

Locate air travel discounts and direct (YYC to the venue doors) on our website along with information about the venue and an agenda. Please watch for our email communications with additional logistics to help prepare you. If you have questions, please contact us.

What is the cost to park at the hotel? Where can I find schedules for public transit?

Self parking at the venue is $25 per day (CAD) plus tax that will be added to your hotel invoice. The hotel has a dedicated shuttle to drive you to and from downtown Banff as well as bus service pick up at the main entrance. Please speak with the concierge for more information.

Where do I pick up my name tag and check in for the conference?

The registration desk will be located just outside the Cascade Ballroom, in the Castle on Mezzanine Level Two. We will be open on Thursday evening and can be accessible throughout the entire event.

Can I bring a guest to the Welcome Reception and Celebratory Dinner?

Both events are adult only and a cash bar will be available. Guest tickets for both social events can be purchased separately through this registration portal. Your purchased tickets will be waiting for you at the registration desk when you check in with us.

I have dietary restrictions. Who do I tell?

We will gather this information during the registration process and relay it to the venue. Meal options will be labelled by the venue. We would also ask you to please speak to one of the service staff for added support. If you have concerns, please visit us at the registration desk.

Will some of the sponsored events be during breaks and meals?

Yes, there may be a sponsored, non accredited presentation during meals/refreshment breaks that will be outlined to you. Those choosing not to attend the sponsored events can access nearby dining options at their own cost.

What is the dress code for the conference? What about the social events?

To maintain your comfort, please dress in layered clothing as we may encounter fluctuating temperatures in such large meeting spaces. Please consider dressy casual for the welcome reception and formal attire for the celebratory dinner.

Where can I obtain a receipt ? Is there a refund period if my plans have changed?

Eventbrite will email you directly with a receipt. Please check your junk folder just in case. Refunds are accepted 30 days in advance via email request to info@griboi.com (March 9, 2025) minus the processing fees that are not refundable to GRIBOI. Requests after 30 days are non refundable.

Is my ticket transferrable if I am within the 30 day no refund window?

If you would like to transfer your ticket to another attendee, please email us to help coordinate this and change the ticket information to the new owner. The current owner and new owner will be responsible for any subsequent financial reconciliation.
