Frequently asked questions

Accessibility

Half of this tour takes place on the second floor of the house. However, the first floor of the house is accessible. An accessible path and accessible washroom are available. Please reach out to carrhouse@telus.net with any requests, questions, or concerns about the accessibility of our tours!

Where can I park?

Visitors are welcome to park in our driveway. Please note that parking is limited, as it is a historic site built before the modern car! While we do have room for about 5 vehicles, free parking is also available at Beacon Hill Park (a short walk away). We also encourage biking or walking!

What age group is the tour for? Can children register?

Everyone! All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Are animals allowed inside the house?

No. As a historical site Carr House cannot allow pets into the house, with the exception of certified guide/service dogs. Pets are, however, welcome in the gardens!

Cancellation

As a small organization, Carr House reserves the right to cancel any tour depending on staffing, private rentals/events, or other related reasons. Participants may cancel their registration at any time.
