Discover PCR: Unveil the Mystery!

PCR, short for Polymerase Chain Reaction, acts like a molecular highlighter for biologists and doctors. It's a game-changer in molecular biology, enabling us to pinpoint specific DNA and RNA signatures with precision. Imagine a tool so vital that modern biology and medicine rely on it daily!

Despite its importance, PCR remains a mystery to many. Let’s change that together!

Join us for an afternoon where we’ll unravel the secrets of PCR using plant materials and their DNA. You'll get hands-on experience with both standard PCR and real-time PCR. Our crash course covers a variety of molecular biology techniques, from quick DNA extraction to gel electrophoresis. Don't worry about experience—we provide safe lab materials and expert guidance to ensure you leave with both theoretical knowledge and practical pipetting skills.

Witness the power of real-time PCR, a technique pivotal in monitoring infections during recent pandemics and versatile for countless applications.

We supply all materials and equipment, including PCR primers tailored for genes to detect distinct meat species, bacteria, GMO organisms.

While PCR runs its course, we'll also create agar art using fluorescent bacteria.

Whether you’re a student, a professional expanding your horizons, or simply curious about molecular biology, this event is perfect for you.

Agenda:

  • quick DNA isolation
  • Standard PCR
  • Gel electrophoresis
  • Real-time PCR
