The Halloween Dance includes: concession items, spooky gym atmosphere, rocking tunes so you can dance dance dance (with your hands hands hands), and have fun with your classmates!

Will you have concession items?

Yes! We will have food, drinks, candy available. Payment in cash only. We cannot accept debit/credit/tap.

Will you need volunteers at the dance?

Yes, of course we will! Did you really think we wouldn't? We will be sending out a signup for parent volunteers soon. Events like these are made possible by parents like you! Thank you in advance for helping us out.

Is there a dress code?

Wear your Halloween costume or orange and black! Please no masks that cover the whole face, no toy weapons.

I bought tickets but now I can't come on that date, can I get a refund?

You can request a refund through Eventbrite up to 3 days prior to the event.

Where does the money go from my ticket sales?

Any profits after costs of the dance have been covered go directly to the School Council/MCPA General Fund. This fund pays for items such as field trip bussing, Terry Fox Day treats, advertising, insurance, etc.

The MCPA seems like a great group to be a part of, how can I join?

Great question, gentle reader. You can always email us at mcschoolcouncil@gmail.com or talk to any of us at our events or monthly meetings (Oct 15 6:30pm) at the school. We have a lot of fun while supporting the school and students!

Can I buy tickets in person at the dance?

Trick question. IF you miss our super convenient deadline of online tickets at noon on October 24th.. the short answer at this moment is NO. We cannot guarantee that we will have the volunteers, cash float, or capacity for last minute guests. Plan ahead just in case!

If I volunteer, do I still have to buy a ticket?

Yes! This event is raising money for the students at Marion Carson! We are all volunteers and still buy our tickets like everyone else. Even the planners who spend weeks working on this buy tickets, so volunteering for our fun and short shifts won't get you out of your ticket :)

Where can I find all the information about these school events and fundraisers?

We have some very convenient ways to stay in touch! We have a monthly newsletter that is sent by email (if you aren't receiving it.. please read Mr. Turner's emails again on how to do that!), and we have Facebook (Marion Carson Elementary Parent Association) AND Instagram (mcs_parentassociation).
