About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Linocut Block Printing for fabrics. Linocut printing is a technique where a design is carved, inked, and then pressed onto the fabric to create custom designs. You will get a chance to carve your own simple block and/or print with lino onto fabric. Materials included are a lino piece for you to carve and a small fabric item. If you have clothing or textiles that you would like to print on, feel free to bring them. If you are planning on joining the Community Indigo Dye Bath day please only bring natural fabric - cotton, hemp, linen, silk, wool. There will also be items to purchase - $3-15 range.

Frequently asked questions

Where is this located? Tell me more about the venue.

Mission Point House is a rental space in Mission Point Park in Davis Bay (Sechelt). It does not have parking right beside it. Parking is across the street at Brookman Park or near the Davis Bay Seawall. It can be dark to get there, but the path is level and easy to find.

Can I bring children?

This is an all-ages event. We will be using sharp tools in Day 1 (Linocut) and Day 2 (stencils for clay resist) - so my suggestion would be for ages 10 and up. Day 3 is for all.
