About this event

HEY SINGLES, STOP SWIPING & JOIN THE FUN AT SMASH

Welcome to SMASH, Vancouver Island’s first truly interactive, small group event catered to singles who are looking for lighthearted fun that results in genuine connections.

HERE’S WHAT WE DO

SMASH is all about creating a vibe in a safe, engaging space. There are exactly ZERO tedious conversation starters. You won’t be asked to introduce yourself to the group and we generally don’t care what animal you identify as. (Unless it’s a Leafy Sea Dragon, because that deserves at least one conversation.)

We do fun, in an upbeat, guided, interactive environment. All activities are curated, dialed in and selected for maximum joy. That’s right, we said “joy”. Do you have a good brain? We've got you. Less brainy, more active? Done. Are you good at drawing? We might have something for you too. Are you being dragged to this thing by your friends? Well, that kind of hurts, but we think your friends are right- we've got you!

Registered participants will get an email with more details. Questions? Please see our FAQs. If you don’t see an answer to your question, feel free to contact us via email at: queenofhearts.jane@gmail.com

Yes, there is free parking in the lot located in front of Intrepid Studio (Suite #2 -1609 Blanshard St.) as well as street parking.

Is SMASH a matchmaking service?

No, right now we’re focused on creating memorable, fun experiences for people to connect. While we can't promise you'll meet "the one" , we can guarantee you'll have fun trying!

I'm a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community - is this the event for me?

Truthfully, probably not. This inaugural event is geared towards heterosexual relationships. We plan on hosting a queer-focused event in the future - please stay tuned to our social media and check our website for updates on upcoming events.

Will food be provided?

There will be party-friendly snacks provided at the Mixer, included with your ticket. However, if you're looking for something substantial, we encourage you to eat a full meal beforehand. Please let us know about dietary restrictions and allergies!

What should I wear?

If you’re attending the full SMASH SINGLES EVENT, and plan on staying for the MIXER we recommend wearing comfy clothing. You’re more than welcome to bring a change of clothes to va-va-voom it up at the mixer.
