Whether you have love to celebrate, mourn, or anticipate, here’s an indie rock show to hold you over til the famous holiday known as Saint Valentine's.
Sorry Snowman:
Sorry Snowman is a four piece indie-rock/emo band from Ottawa that focuses on finding a way to make everyday stories catchy. Inspired equally by their friends and their favourite artists, the band's sound is just as at home blaring onstage as it is in your headphones on the bus home from work.
Loch Nisse Monster:
Loch Nisse Monster rose from the swamps of an Ottawa 70's-themed house party, where in a haze the musician was told that her name sounded like the famous monster of Loch Ness. Nisse and the band bring the folky vibe of this mysterious creature to the music, telling stories and painting emotions. Along with inspiration from the genres of rock, pop, and punk, the "monster" in Loch Nisse Monster doesn't hesitate to get at ironic and unjust truths, yet with the hope of tales.
Weekend Goodbye (Toronto):
Not punk. Not indie. Not anything. Fuck you.
