Welcome to Holiday Cake Decorating: "Frosty's Wonderland"
Perfect for anyone interested in learning a new hands-on creative skill that can easily become a life-long passion. This is a wonderful bonding activity for moms, dads, grandparents, kids and besties.
Skills you’ll learn:
- How to make vanilla marshmallow fondant (think edible modeling clay!)
- How to colour fondant: two ways
- Technique for covering a cake in fondant
- Basic piping techniques using buttercream icing
- How to create fondant holiday toppers: Snowman, trees, presents, and candy canes!
What you’ll take home:
- A fully decorated 6" cake
- Instructions on how to make marshmallow fondant
- Extra fondant to make more creations at home!
The skills and techniques you'll learn in this workshop are fundamental to cake decorating and can be applied to wonderful creations in the future.
All materials are provided. All decorations are edible. Ages 12+ welcome. Maximum 6 students to allow for lots of personal attention.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Lorraine has been cake decorating for over 15 years. She has enjoyed creating edible art for Grammy and Oscar winners, and her cakes and cupcakes have been featured in a TV drama series!
