And when the band winds down, the music doesn’t stop as DJ MXK will take over and close the night with a set that will keep the energy flowing till 1 AM.

Singer/songwriter: Illarra

Illarra is a Toronto based singer songwriter who’s deeply invested in the beauty of the folklore and traditional Arabian music and the soulfulness of the Sufi music. He's been working on rearranging and reimagining those tunes to introduce such pieces to the local scene. Recently, he has been doing a lot of fusion music either Arabic jazz or flamenco and has been loving the experience of combining the beauty of these worlds where the East meets the West in harmony. He has been a part of multiple shows and concerts as a singer from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver.


On keyboard: Peter Henry Holbrook

Peter Henry Holbrook is a Toronto-based keyboardist, composer, and educator.
Originally from Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, he grew up playing classical piano and performing in school and community bands before moving to the city to study at Toronto’s Humber College. There, he immersed himself in various musical styles from contemporary jazz to traditional folk to film score.
He was the 2020 recipient of the Dave Stilwell Composing and Arranging Award, and in 2021 was a member of the first ever Intercultural Creative Music Fellowship between Humber College and the Aga Khan Museum.
Peter regularly performs and records with a variety of bands and artists, such as Majd Sekkar’s Jazzy Arabia, the Dwit Hathi Quintet, and Nigerian-Canadian RnB artist Dipo. His debut EP of jazz compositions, Present Perfect Continuous, was released in January 2023.

Dwit Hathi is a guitarist, composer, and musician from India, currently based in Toronto, Canada. With a passion for music that started at a young age, Dwit has honed his skills over the years to create a fresh and creative voice as a musician over the years. Beginning his music journey in India, he studied guitar under some of the best teachers in the country and soon developed a unique style that blended Indian classical music with Western influences, quickly catching the attention of music lovers and fellow musicians alike. Over the years, Dwit has collaborated with several artists and performed at numerous festivals and concerts both in India and abroad. He has also composed music for films and television shows, further establishing himself as a versatile musician.


On double bass: Hiro Tanaka

Hiro Tanaka is a bassist and composer from Saskatoon currently based in Toronto. Hiro picked up the bass during his junior year of high school where he quickly discovered his love for jazz citing Paul Chambers and Ray Brown as primary influences. He joined the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra where he honed his technical abilities. In 2018, Hiro moved to Toronto to study music at Humber College. During this time, he studied under the top jazz bassists in Canada including Mike Downes, Neil Swainson, and Jon Maharaj. Now he can be seen playing in many genres in music venues around Toronto.

Dhaivat Jani is a Toronto based award winning Composer, Drummer and a
Tabla Player. Originally from Ahmedabad, India, Dhaivat released his
critically acclaimed debut album “Sum // Parts” with his group ‘Dhaivat Jani
PLUS’ in 2023.
Dhaivat's versatility is evident as he serves as a sideman for various artists.
His contributions extend to multiple cross-genre recordings. Since the late
2010s, he has also been a music producer, crafting albums and EPs across
genres with various artists, showcasing his production and arranging skills.
Throughout his career, Dhaivat has forged collaborations with filmmakers,
poets, dancers, and visual artists, seamlessly blending diverse artistic
disciplines. His vision is to push the creative boundaries by interweaving
across various artforms keeping music at its core.
