The 2020 Fall Economic Statement will be tabled in the House of Commons on November 30, 2020 at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET. We are proud to host a one-on-one conversation with Minister Fortier to speak about what the federal government is doing to protect Canadians when they need it most, what the path to recovery looks like and what’s new in the government’s plans going forward.

Elected as the first female Member of Parliament for Ottawa—Vanier in 2017, the Honourable Mona Fortier is a proud Franco-Ontarian Minister.

Minister Fortier is focused on making life more affordable for Canadians, protecting the environment, and helping businesses prosper. She is a strong advocate for linguistic duality and social justice. As a mother of three, a University of Ottawa graduate, community leader, and entrepreneur, Minister Fortier knows that it is important to come together with an ambitious plan to build strong communities.
