About this event

  • Event lasts 13 hours 30 minutes

You are invited to attend our first annual conference and MCREW launch! Featuring presentations by MCREW members from across the McMaster campus, a panel on current challenges facing workers, a keynote address by Armine Yalnizyan (Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers and columnist for the Toronto Star), and a graduate student poster session, the conference will bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines to tackle some of the most pressing issues surrounding the transformation of work and its effects on workers.

We created MCREW so that researchers could come together to study the changing world of work and challenge established theories. Through our interdisciplinary approach, MCREW hopes to deepen our understanding of how employees navigate, adapt to, and resist changing workplace demands, and how worker behaviors and expectations affect organizations.

The conference is free to attend. Stipends are available to cover travel expenses from nearby universities – please contact mcrew@mcmaster.ca for details.

Please visit mcrew.ca for more information about MCREW and a detailed schedule.
