This class is geared towards those who have participated in my Introductory Weaving Class, and who already have their own loom.
You will have a few different options for what to make in this class: another wall hanging, a coaster or a woven hot plate (see photo examples below)
Techniques taught in this class:
- Review of warping, twining, tabby weave, bubbling, rya knots
- How to use your heddle bar and shuttles
- Single warp and double warp
- Pick and pick for creating vertical stripes(or just continue to play with tabby)
- Soumak to create a braided effect
- Weaver's knot
Make sure you remember to bring your loom, heddle bar, two shuttles, comb, weaving needle (if you still have one, otherwise I will have extras)
