Welcome to our Beginner Friendly Acro Yoga Workshop!
In this workshop, we will provide the fundamentals for all beginners and first-timers to Acro. If you've been coming to our workshops, we will be working on more progressions, accomodating each skill level. There is going to be some inversion practice and dynamic movement.
In this workshop specifically, you will learn a beginner acro yoga flow sequence. You will learn different moves and shapes in acro and put it together in dynamic transitions to flow from one move to the other.
Safety is the number one priority so everyone will have spotters. If you've ever been curious to try Acro Yoga but a little nervous about it, this is the perfect intro workshop for you. You can come by yourself or with a friend and get ready to a have good time!
About Mike Mckoy:
Mike Mckoy is an acro instructor based out of Canada. After getting certified through AcroYoga international’s acrofit program, he started assisting during their certification program for other instructors in Jamaica and the U.S. Being a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Mike started incorporating acro into his program for clients and small groups. Mike now works with over 18 studios travelling around the U.S and Canada teaching acro workshops. He also teaches at various acro festivals in the U.S and Canada. He is passionate about inspiring people and helping others discover Acro.
About Amanda Soufi:
Amanda Soufi is a Toronto-based Yoga Instructor on a mission to share the powerful healing practice of conscious and intentional movement. She has been a student of yoga for over a decade now; little did she know she would one day have the privilege of becoming a teacher. Amanda is the co-creator of The Hypno Yin Yoga Method, where presence, relaxation and nervous system regulation is at the forefront of her teachings. A lover of all things movement, she is most passionate about yin yoga and acroyoga and is committed to inspiring others on their own journey of health and wellness.

You can if you want! But it's also not necessary as we will be working in groups!
No experience necessary! Our goal is to help you feel as safe as possible as you navigate through various beginner friendly poses. You are guaranteed to have a lot of fun!
