About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

A study of screenwriting both technically and creatively, this course is ideal for novice writers with little to no experience. Participants will learn how the elements of story (plot, conflict, setting, theme, character development, dialogue, and resolution) are used for film. This course will also cover technical details on how to properly format a screenplay.

Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring a short film idea to be discussed, if time permits.

Instructor: Tara Thorne
