Introduction to Bobbin Lace

Bobbin lace is a lace textile made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread. The pattern is worked using bobbins, pins and a pillow.

In this hands-on workshop:

Explore the basic tools and stitches used to make Torchon lace - a beginners bobbin lace technique. Using commercial threads, create a sample bookmark.

All supplies for the workshop will be provided.

Material fee is $5 payable to the instructor in the workshop.


LDWS workshops are open to all. If a participant is less than 18 years old, they are required to have a parent or guardian present at all times


Workshop is limited to 8 participants, please register early. This class has a minimum number of 6 participants to proceed. If this number is not reached we’ll let you know about a week before the start of class. You will be refunded your full registration.
