Introduction to Photography with Angie Patterson

Learn the basics of photography from the comfort of your home in this fun, comprehensive course with photographer and educator Angie Patterson. Over four weeks, you will discover how to use the primary modes of your camera, get an introduction to lighting, exposure, and depth-of-field and have the secrets of your camera's manual mode demystified. Each 2-hour session features numerous helpful photo tips, plus a series of fun exercises and photo projects that will give you hands-on experience applying the lessons you've learned.

Sessions will take place on Thursdays, but we will skip the class on Thursday, October 31st to complete the 4 weeks on Thursday, November 7th.

Participants will need the following equipment:

• DSLR, Mirrorless camera, or advanced point-and-shoot*
• Memory card
• Fully charged battery
• Pen

Optional materials:

• "Making Photography Easy & Fun" by Angie Patterson. This book works as excellent complementary reading materials that will allow you to take fewer notes.

* Please ensure that your camera is capable of advanced settings or at least partially manual settings.
