Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable - we're just glad you're here! We see mostly business casual... some jeans and t-shirts..and some who like the chance to dress up a bit. But really we do just want to play for you no matter what you're wearing.

My ticket has no row/seat?

You may sit wherever you like - first come, first choice.

When do I clap?

Tradition says to clap at the end of a piece, not between movements (sections), but these days audiences sometimes can't help but clap after a particularly emotional movement. If you're unsure, just wait for others to start.

I've seen other music peformed live - how is this different ?

To get the most out of a live, full orchestra performance you'll want to immerse yourself. Silence your phone, be still and listen attentively. That's how to plug your soul into the music. (Yes, it's that powerful - that's why a lot of what we play has been around for hundreds of years)

Is there free parking?

Yes. The high school parking lot and there is free street parking in the neighbourhood.

Are there refreshments?

Yes. At intermission we offer coffee, water and buns. Please bring a bit of cash to donate to offset costs.
