About this event
Each screening will explore a different aspect of filmmaking, from storytelling and animation to who is on a film crew and what do they do. After each film, kids will engage in interactive discussions to help them understand how movies are made, how stories come to life on the big screen, and how they can start creating their own films. Perfect for curious young filmmakers and movie lovers alike!
Note: This film club is intended for kids aged 7 to 12 and films will be in English or French, or silent!
Individual Tickets: $20 per screening (includes popcorn and a juice box). $45 for all three screenings.
Spots will be limited to 12-15.

Frequently asked questions
While maturity levels do vary among children, our screening series is suggested for kids 7-12.
This is a class intended for kids. There will be activities in which they will be encouraged to collaborate with their peers, like a robotics class or a dance class. And we're hoping to encourage a peer-to-peer community through an open dialogue about the films we screen.
Dependent on interest, it is our hope to run a family screening and workshop in the future.
It will be a mix of short films spanning the whole of film history. Depictions of tobacco use will be present in some films. For any concerns about content, please reach out to us at soniacgemmiti@gmail.com.
