The #KnowHumanTrafficking campaign aims to raise public awareness about human trafficking and educate people about how they can help those at risk.
Human trafficking involves the recruitment, transportation, harbouring and/or exercising control, direction or influence over the movements of a person in order to exploit that person, typically through sexual exploitation or forced labour.
67% of all cases reported in Canada occurred in Ontario with the Greater Toronto area being identified as a "hotbed" for this heinous crime. Please attend this truck launch to learn more about how this is happening in our own communities and how you can "Spot the Signs" of someone that is being trafficked.
