Event description:

Let the Laurier Symphony Orchestra serenade you this Valentine's Day with the impassioned "Firebird Suite" by Igor Stravinsky and Arturo Marquez's feverish Danzon No. 2, alongside "Unanswered Letters" by faculty member Dr. Matthew Emery. Missy Mazzoli's reflective and loving,"These Worlds Within Us" and Canadian composer, Cecilia Livington's "Leap of the Heart," recently premiered by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra will surely touch your heart. Dean Turner will conduct this concert, which will also feature world-renowned Canadian clarinetist James Campbell in Carl Maria von Weber's Concertino. What a night!

To attend any Faculty of Music event, please reserve your tickets online through Eventbrite. If you need assistance reserving a ticket, please speak with Box Office staff upon arrival or email us at concerts@wlu.ca.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • General: $30
  • Senior (65+): $22
  • Student*: Free
  • Laurier Faculty & Staff: Free

*Student tickets are for all post-secondary and high school students, as well as individuals under 18.

Your ticket purchase helps provide Laurier music students with scholarships and the ability to maintain our performance facilities. You are making a difference in the lives of our students and the quality of our venues. We appreciate your support!
