To support COVID-19 vaccine program implementation in public health units across Ontario, Public Health Ontario (PHO) is organizing a knowledge exchange webinar on COVID-19 vaccine uptake and equity considerations.
The webinar will focus on sharing of equity centered health unit practices to support COVID-19 vaccine uptake among various health units. This will be followed by a learning exchange on prioritizing trustworthiness and trust, as well as highlighting experiences/challenges/opportunities in supporting equity-centered COVID-19 vaccine uptake.
Each topic discussion will start with a short presentation from a health unit, followed by a learning exchange discussion. Participants will be invited to raise questions to the presenters as well as to share their own updates, challenges, and solutions. Our aim is to highlight experiences of diverse health units across the province and to support discussion and knowledge exchange on equity considerations.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss equity centered health unit practices that support the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines
- Describe experiences/challenges/opportunities from various health units in this area
- Summarize emerging best practices and resources for equity-centred vaccine program implementation
Please register for this one hour webinar and send us any questions you may have for the presenters and PHO ahead of time.
This session will be recorded for ongoing training and educational purposes.
