Following the lecture, you'll have the unique opportunity to sit in on a 10-minute piano practice demonstration with one of Carlo's students. Watch as an award-winning pianist and educator showcases the techniques and routines that make practice truly effective. It's a behind-the-scenes look at how focused, intentional practice leads to progress—an experience students and parents won't want to miss!

Concluding the event is a 30-minute piano concert by Carlo.

Organized by

Carlo Santos is a pianist and educator, holding a gold medal in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Originally from Calgary, he graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Calgary. He earned his Associate (ARCT) and Licentiate (LRCM) Diplomas in Piano Performance with top honors, studying with Allen Reiser. In 2020, he received the National Gold Medal for achieving the highest mark in Canada for his Licentiate performance.

Carlo transitioned to a full-time teaching career, focusing on piano and theory lessons, and adjudicating music festivals in Alberta. His diverse student base ranges from ages four to seventy and includes beginners to advanced ARCT-level musicians. His teaching philosophy emphasizes virtue, passion, and fostering a deep love for music in his students.
