Join us for a three week workshop designed to help adults let go of judgment and embrace their creative expression through the use of art.
Dates: Feb 2025 - 4th, 11th and 25th

Each session is 2 hours and will follow the same structure
30 mins - introduction to activities and warm up exercises
60 mins - focused activity using some of the principles we covered in the intro
30 mins - reflection and sharing of experience.
Week 1 - Using art as a tool for exploration
This week we explore free expression without the pressure to create recognizable objects.
We introduce abstract art and its principles
Warm up exercises - freeform doodling and markmaking
Each week will close with a group reflection and sharing experiences
Week 2 - Embracing imperfection
In the infamous philosophy of Bob Ross’ “happy accidents” we are going to take that a little further.
Here we will highlight the beauty of imperfections and talk about the value of process over product.
We will also create a collaborative piece in this session with some mixed media.
Week 3 - Mindfulness and Art
This week we will Integrate mindfulness practices to enhance present-moment awareness during art-making.
Guided meditation and mindfulness exercises
Creating art using mindful observation of nature (encouraged to bring an image from home, birds, flowers, gardens, etc.)
