The morning session of the annual re-tracing of Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe's first day on the Toronto Carrying Place in 1793 will cover the portion of the journey in Swansea. From Lake Ontario to Bloor Street, the context of Simcoe's journey will be covered along with its significance and increasingly controversial legacy. After arrival at Bloor and Armadale, there will be a break to have a picnic lunch or takeout from a Bloor West Village restaurant before optionally continuing with Part II.
