Agenda

5:30 PM – Doors Open


Arrive early to set up your space and get comfortable. This is a great time to connect with fellow artists, gather your materials, and settle into the creative atmosphere.

6:00 PM – Session Begins


We kick off promptly at 6:00 PM with a series of shorter, dynamic poses. The model will start with quick poses (1–5 minutes each) with short breaks in between.

7:30 PM – Break


Take a 15-minute break to stretch, refresh, or chat with fellow attendees. Use this time to review your work and prepare for the longer, more detailed poses in the second half of the session.

7:45 PM – Longer Poses Begin


The second half of the session will feature longer poses, ranging from 10 to 20 minutes each.

9:00 PM – Session Ends


The session will officially end at 9:00 PM. Please ensure all materials are packed up, and leave the space tidy. This is also the perfect time to photograph your work and share your progress with oth...

Life Drawing with Model at Atelier Next Door

Join us for an inspiring evening of creativity at our Life Drawing with Model series! Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this session is designed to help you sharpen your skills, unleash your imagination, and connect with other artists in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

What to Expect: Our sessions are the perfect blend of focused artistry and community spirit. All mediums are welcome, so whether you prefer charcoal, pencils, or even paints, you’ll find a place to explore your unique style.

Details:

  • Time: Doors open at 5:30 PM. The session begins promptly at 6:00 PM, so be sure to arrive at least 15 mins early to settle in.
  • Location: 1357 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON. M6J 1Y3
  • Parking: Street parking is available.

Please Bring:

  • Sketchboard with clip
  • Paper pad or newsprint
  • Drawing tools (charcoal, pencils, erasers, conte, etc.)
  • Optional painting supplies (paints, brushes, water buckets, towels, palette, etc.)

Important Note:
While photography is not allowed during the model session, you're welcome to share images of your artwork afterward to celebrate your creative journey!

Do I need to have previous life drawing experience to attend?

No experience is necessary! Our sessions are open to all skill levels, from beginners to professional artists. Come as you are and enjoy the process of learning and creating in a supportive environment.

Can I pay in person or is pre-payment required?

You can reserve your spot by sending an e-transfer to info@and1357.com. Cash is also accepted at the door, but we recommend pre-payment to ensure your place as space is limited.

What is the age requirement for this event?

Participants must be 18 years of age or older due to the nature of life drawing with a nude model.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Parking in the building’s lot is not available. However, there is street parking nearby for your convenience. We suggest arriving a little early to secure a spot.

What kind of supplies should I bring?

We recommend bringing your preferred drawing materials, such as a sketchboard with a clip, a paper pad or newsprint, and drawing tools like charcoal, pencils, erasers, or conte. If you're planning to paint, please bring your own painting supplies, including paints, brushes, palettes, etc...

Will any materials be provided at the event?

We do not provide art supplies, so be sure to bring everything you need to create comfortably. However, if you happen to forget something, feel free to ask other attendees—our community is always willing to share!
