Tommy Gilham's musical journey began in Birmingham, Alabama, where he grew up surrounded by southern hospitality and a deep love for music. After winning a songwriting contest for Jack Daniels, he set his sights on Nashville. There, he signed a publishing deal with Polygram, which soon led to a record deal with Decca Records. With strong support from the NASCAR community—including close friends from the Allison family—he became a fixture on the NASCAR circuit, performing every Sunday at the start/finish line.
Over the years, Tommy collaborated with renowned artists like Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alison Krauss, and many more, and even worked for Travis Tritt, recording demos. Eventually, he moved to Canada, where his single "Angels Leaving Birmingham" reached #46 on Billboard’s Top 100 in Canada, marking a new and exciting chapter in his career.
