About this event

Every child’s story is a treasure: Children with disabilities and their parents speak about their experiences during the Covid 19 pandemic and their needs for services and supports moving forward.

Children and youth with disabilities and special healthcare needs, and their families, have been uniquely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research study is a partnership between youth, parents, and researchers. We used a combination of visual methods and interviews to learn about the experiences of these children and their parents to identify the supports and services children and families need at present and moving forward.

Organized by

CanChild is a non-profit research and educational centre located within the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Our research focuses on improving the lives of children with a variety of developmental conditions and their families over the lifecourse.

Kids Brain Health Network is a national network of researchers and health professionals dedicated to helping children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. We fund collaborative research, train the next generation of developmental neuroscientists, and mobilize our findings for impact.
