About this event
Does your husband behave like an extra child? Are you tired of feeling like a nag? Is he stuck in the past? Is his ‘help’ not helpful? Do your needs fall on deaf ears?
We’re trying to bring men into the 20th century (we know, baby steps), where they can discover that, essentially, women are people. There’s a growing epidemic of children not willing to humour dad’s abuse anymore and we really just want to help men avoid dying alone. And help you, their partners, not pull out every one of your hairs. Research has shown that no matter how healthy women get in relationships, it doesn't make the relationship healthier BUT when men get healthier, the relationship reliably improves. And thus this class was born!
Things we will tackle:
- Proof that women are people and how to treat them as such
- How to free yourself from patriarchy-brain-jail
- How to change values without your manhood falling off
- The joy of knowing more than just your kid’s name
- How to avoid dying alone
- Connection over control
- How accountability makes your junk look bigger
- Get him to FINALLY deal with his parents
Due to the expected problems we know you will encounter, here are some ways to trick your dude to come to this class:
- Say it's a trip to Disney Land
- Say it's what you want for your birthday
- Tell him you want to be treated like a person and are tired of not being respected in your own home (this one might not work, sadly, so say there’s a sale on…sports stuff)
- Tell them it’s a group about the thing they like more than you (sad face)
In conclusion, let me wrestle the patriarchy out of your partner as it’s about time men held each other accountable so you can get back to the more important stuff, like becoming the next prime minister. The group is led by myself, a registered psychotherapist. I specialize in men's issues, couples counselling, and neurodiversity.
