Mad STEM Odyssey:The week is filled with team building, cooperation, fun, educational, hands-on experiments and activities. Each day will explore exciting themes such as reflections of light, weather journeys, structures, messy chemical reactions and secret agents. All Curious minds are welcome! Join us for a single day or a whole week. Come see what fun you can have with our interactive STEM Camp.
24 March (Monday): Detective Science: During the day, secret agent-themed science activities allow campers to play detective, explore forensic science, sharpen their surveillance skills, and crack encrypted messages. Kids become super sleuths!
25 March (Tuesday): World of Lights:Check out the colourful world of lights and how we see with the reflections of light! Investigate rainbows in white light, prisms and refraction. Can reflection give us an illusion sometimes? Explore the mysterious world of UV lights!
26 March (Wednesday): Super Structures: Campers will learn while creating, building, and testing strong structures. They will use their imagination and the awesome tools provided to create different structures. Through engaging activities, they will learn the forces acting on structures.
27 March (Thursday): Wacky Weather:Children will discover why we have different seasons and the role that weather plays in our lives. They will learn about the different tools for observing weather conditions, how lightning and tornadoes are formed, the water cycle, and the equipment used to measure the weather.
28 March (Friday): Wowology: Children get a great opportunity to learn about the physical and chemical reactions that take place around us in everyday life. Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! The reactions that occur despite the fact they shouldn’t! The reactions that give cool results. Get crazy with fun-filled reactions!!
March 24 - 28th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily
Ages 5-10
Participants can attend for the full week (five days) or drop-in for individual days.
Community League Member* = $235/week, $50/day for drop-in
Non-Member = $250/week, $55/day for drop-in
* Must have a valid community league membership (any league) to get the discounted rate.
